If you stick to single sheet thicknesses, most any grinder will work. If you are pressing it so hard that it bogs down, it's usually your technique at fault, not the grinder.

So the Inland at Hobby Lobby works well, as do others.

What you might want to consider is the grinder head. Be sure to get a grinder using a standard style shaft (most inlands) so you can grab a different size head for smaller work or hole drilling, and power heads for taking off large areas of glass.

Grinder heads are not cheap, but the good news is that as you get better at cutting, your grinding may decrease, and they last fairly long times.

FYI - Go to a store that teaches classes, and ask them to try out the grinders in their classroom. Many stores have multiple stations set up you can play with first.

If you are worried about the grinder breaking, buying it from a local store usually means they will accept it back for warranty as well, versus having to send it in. But it does run more to buy it local versus online usually.. so you need to weigh the differences.
